Crew Cab Dirt Runner: Kibbetech’s Ford F-350 Is A Bitchin’ Behemoth!

Crew Cab Dirt Runner: Kibbetech’s Ford F-350 Is A Bitchin’ Behemoth!

The last time I paid attention to a Kibbetech build, it was the car known as the Trophy LTD: a Ford Crown Victoria turned full-deal desert runner. Everything about that car was both all wrong (lifted, GM LS swap, skidplates, etc.) and together, it was PERFECT! All you need to know about the Kibbetech crew is this: bring them just about any vehicle and they will return to you an off-roading monster that will be perfectly capable of whatever you can reasonably throw at it…if you have the budget to build it. A fully built desert runner does not come cheap, and neither do things like King off-road reservoir shocks and heim joints the size of a grown man’s fist.

This machine started life as your typical F-350 longbed: gas powerplant, many years of use and abuse, and general neglect. After back-halfing the truck (read: plasma cut the frame at the back of the cab and starting from scratch), overkill building the front suspension to match the capability of the rear, and swapping to that engine, the end result looks like a brand-new prerunner truck, ready to go. And it’s not even done yet…the 6.0L is more or less as GM made it, paint is still up in the air, and so on and so forth. But it works…watch this sucker land off of the jump. It looks like a Cadillac navigating a speedbump!
