Late Model Stomper: Salvatore Iovino’s Dodge Charger Is A Monster!

Late Model Stomper: Salvatore Iovino’s Dodge Charger Is A Monster!

Fifteen hundred horsepower. Yeah, that’ll get some attention in a freaking hurry, but don’t sweat the numbers on the dyno…worry about the numbers on the front facia near the headlights on this Dodge Charger. 174.6 MPH in the half-mile. 202 MPH in the mile in Texas. In a four-door big-body late-model Mopar that weighs in pretty well, it’s still a very, very intimidating figure. And we aren’t blowing smoke about this car, either…we’ve seen this car run in person, and it’s a violent beast. This is “Black Widow”, Salvatore Iovino’s 2010 Charger, and it is the right kind of nightmare. The 6.1 is ProCharged, using an F-1A and nitrous, because why not, and pushes power through a TH400 automatic. With all of that working in tandem, the Charger does it’s job with all the subtlety of a bomb blast…which shouldn’t be a surprise for the car that is carrying the Hemi LX world record right now. 1320Video caught up with Iovino at the Street Car Takeover Atlanta event and got to witness this beast first-hand:
