Another One Bites The Dust: Farmtruck Versus A Lamborghini Huracan! When Will They Learn?

Another One Bites The Dust: Farmtruck Versus A Lamborghini Huracan! When Will They Learn?

Several years ago, seeing Sean Whitley and his 1970 Chevy truck stomp the crap out of a supercar was the stuff of legends. I know…long before “Street Outlaws” was a gleam in a producer’s eye, I was sharing videos of this automotive sledgehammer laying waste to cars that thought the old Chevy was easy pickins. The story was the same: the back end would squat, the bed cap’s flimsy hatch would fly open and before the crowd could collectively gasp out “WTF?!” it was all said and done, another race won, another handful of cash going to more fuel, speed parts and probably a pizza.

Nowadays, the Farmtruck is one of, if not the most recognizable vehicle from the show, and it’s fame hasn’t messed with Job #1: handing the unsuspecting their own ass on a silver platter, with partner AZN standing by to add the garnish to the dish with a smile. Admittedly, the competition at least had the foresight to bring a decent weapon, in the form of a Lamborghini Huracan. Packing a 602-horsepower V-10 and all-wheel-drive, if driven in proper anger, the Huracan has the ability to render a driver into a smoldering heap of ash, capable of only uttering expletives. The Thrust Mode is especially tasty, allowing the Italian doorstop to run 0-62 in 3.2 seconds before cresting north of 200 miles an hour. Not bad specs…but like every other cocksure genius that underrates the battered Chevy, it’s only a matter of time before the lesson is learned the hard way. Usually, in just a few seconds. Lamborghini driver, you really ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Are you sure this video wasn’t just for show? It doesn’t look like the Lamborghini even hit the gas off the line.

Brendan M, I seriously doubt that any Lambo could launch as hard as the Farm Truck without breaking something, which might partially explain the launch. The other part is likely that Lambo dude was slow probably because he thought he could be against an old truck.
