Chicago-Area Junkyard Owner Passes, Makes Final Ride on Back of Ramp Truck

46 year-old Michael Wolff owned and operated MAW Salvage in Brighton, Illinois with his sons. Sadly, he passed away suddenly from a thoracic aneurysm. His sons, Nathan, Tom, and Paulie decided that their dad should make his final Earthly ride on the back of his beloved and hand chosen ramp truck from the salvage business. The boys spoke very well of their father and his affection for the ramp truck in the story we read on TheTelegraph.com.

We certainly feel for the three boys, ages 24, 22 and 14. They worked for their father at the business, and this wasn’t any “no show” job, these guys were working up to seven days a week helping their pop.

Despite their loss, the business will go on with the two older sons taking over where their dad left off. The doors will be open on Monday morning, as usual. The final quote in the story sums up how the boys felt about their dad. Nathan, the oldest son said, “Paul and I pan to continue the business. We will be open Monday, as usual. Dad would have wanted that, and his customers do, too. We will step up, but we know we have some big shoes to fill.”
