It Is Wagon Wednesday And This Ultra Rare 2-Door 1965 Chevelle Station Wagon Has Earned Its Spot

It Is Wagon Wednesday And This Ultra Rare 2-Door 1965 Chevelle Station Wagon Has Earned Its Spot

Only 653 of these 2-Door Chevelle Station Wagons were built in 1965 according to the seller. That makes this sucker even rarer than hens teeth. And because it is so nicely built, we are actually a little surprised at the sale price of $37,500. We think that’s probably right money, but most of the time something like this is priced way to high because the owner falls into the rarity trap too much. But this car is super clean, super nice, and has all the right parts.

The small block and 700r4 combo makes this one a nice runner and something you could cruise cross country on Power Tour with no issues. Nearly everything on this car is new as it has very little miles since being completed apparently.

We can’t argue with the parts selection either as the Vintage Air will certainly keep this sucker comfy inside and the stance is good, wheels and tires are spot on, and it is just one of those hot rods that will turn heads wherever it goes.

Here is all the information about the car directly from the seller:

The “Handyman Wagon” as Chevy called them, are as rare as hen’s teeth. Only 653 of these cars were built in 65. This gorgeous example has nearly 50K invested.
The exterior is black over mint green, with black interior. The sides are laser straight, with some tasteful custom features, such as the original fuel door filled in and relocated behind the rear plate, and the rear gate now has a power window. Lots of new parts, including the drive train, listed below:
 New 355C.I. Small block
