Seems like the hot ticket to a unique hot rod project these days is a vintage big rig cab. Between the latest Blastolene Brothers creation and the neat old Peterbuilt-cab-based project in the latest edition of Hot Rod Magazine, old trucks have new life blood.

In typical fashion, we’re fixated on a truck that appears to not only have been wrecked, but is also missing lots of pieces. No matter! The cab from the cowl back seems to be intact and has all the necessary “character” features like the two windshields in the front and very chop-able roofline.

Our brains are working overtime thinking about how to used the 20-speed transmission currently in the truck. Actually they’re working overdrive on how to stave off the divorce hearings if we ever told our loving wife that this truck was soon to be ours!
