While the roadsters are the main draw and the reason for the show to have been founded more than a half century ago, there are more than 1,000 “other” cars that show up at the event every year. In this collection of images from the 2015 LA Roadsters Show, we are looking at station wagons. Classic wagons are cool and while some people don’t get our love for them, we see vehicles that are virtually like Swiss Army knives in the usefulness department. Today’s station wagons are “cross over” SUVs or some other lame ass name but these were giant hunks of steel that had style for days and the ability to haul, tow, and live out of.

We took all of our wagon images and boiled them down to a collection of two dozen favorites. We love wagons for the fact that they were normally available with the big engine options, heavy duty suspension options, and they carried off the styling better than their sedan or coupe lineup partners. These were the big guns of their era. Cruisers, bruisers, and now? Hot Rods.
