(Photos by Bob Chiluk) – Because of crazed maniacs like Bob Chiluk, Chad Reynolds, and others there’s a huge retro mini-bike scene these days. What were once seen as a cool gift to give you kid to roll around on have suddenly morphed into desirable and restorable pieces of old school fun that have values which would make your jaw hit the floor. Just last weekend, Bob Chiluk hopped in his car (not on his mini-bike) and drove from his Illinois home to Ann-Arbor, Michigan to hang out at the 2014 old school mini-bike show that is run in conjunction (for 10 years) with a full-sized motorcycle show that has been going for more than 30 years. Bob said that there was a bike corral, lots of show bikes, and a shaw meet with the mini-bikes.

We love these little bikes and every time we see ’em in volume like in Bob’s gallery here, we get to trolling Craigslist to look for a good fix’er upper candidate and frankly they’re all a little rich for our blood at this point. We’ll be content to just stare and smile at the photos here because that’s cheaper and the sheer number and different styles of mini-bikes makes us smile.
