Show Coverage: 2014 East Coast Indoor Nationals – More Awesome Hot Rods, Muscle, Race Cars, And Freaky Stuff

(PHOTOS BY JOE GRIPPO) – We’re back with the second and final installment of great photos coverage from the 2014 East Coast Indoor Nationals that were held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds a week or so ago. Joe Grippo ventured there from Pennsylvania to celebrate the removal of his ankle bracelet by the authorities. For his efforts he was rewarded with an amazing array of cars and trucks to look at. From flow blown show rigs to dashing race cars, trucks, rats, and more, this was a great cross section of the gearhead life packed into the awesomely named “cow palace” at the fairgrounds.

Joe really enjoyed the show and rightfully so. This baby has been going on for decades and it gives gearheads an ample excuse to put off Christmas shopping for at least one more week while they prep their cars and show them. Rather than be forced to actually buy stuff at the store, hot rodders get to rub up on their junk and do what they really want to do, which is to play with their toys! Who knows, maybe some lucky wives and girlfriends will be getting event shirts in their stocking. (We DO NOT recommend that….they were probably fine shirts, but c’amon man!)

Joe said he had a great time and it helped to stave off the winter hot rod Jones for another couple of weeks at least. That’s a good thing.
