(Photos by Doug Gregory) – Yesterday we showed you the first of two galleries from the July 2014 Somernites Cruise by Doug Gregory. Doug and his family hit these events regularly and love them. At each of the events during the summer there is a featured car and at this event it was the Chevy Corvette. Doug said that there were more than 300 Corvettes at the show which seems like a lot but when you consider that this bad boy draws a couple of thousand cars at a whack, they made up a nice percentage but it was by no means the “Corvette-Nites” event.

As we have told you about in the past, the Somernites events are more than just a cruise night. They are true multi-day adventures that give participants the opportunity to see the area by cruising to cool spots, visiting local tracks, and like we always say, the fun in owning cars is using them. Power parking is for the other guys, we’re into taking them places, beating on them some, and generally enjoying them with other like-minded people. That’s what Doug’s into as well. He continues to rack up the miles in his Nova cruising to all of these events!
