(Photos by Joe Grippo) – Last week we showed you some of the nostalgia drag racing action that took place at the Maple Grove Raceway Glory Days Nostalgia Drags. This week we’re back with more show coverage but this time it is centered around the car show area and the machines that were on display over on that portion of the property. Maple Grove Raceway has been around for a long time and there is some spectacular scenery at the place.

As most of you out there in reader-land know, I am fairly well obsessed with visiting drag strips across the country. I can remember lots about the stuff that has happened at many strips (both living and dead) but events like this Glory Days race and show really show you the spirit and character of the racers that call these tracks home. I was at Maple Grove last weekend for the NHRA event and I can tell you despite the weather fans showed up every day in the cold, in the gray, and in the wet to see drag racing. They got one hell of a show on Sunday but it was grim before that.

Lots of the cars you will see in this gallery have history at Maple Grove and how cool is it that they are at their home track again, the place where many of them were first raced and where the careers of budding drivers began. Click the photos below to see ’em all big n’ stuff.
