Historical Hooning: 8mm Footage Of Romping A Tired 1949 Plymouth In The Sands In The 1960s!

This is one of the coolest YouTube finds I’ve stumbled on in years. Take one 1949 Plymouth that has seen some better days, a bunch of guys hanging out on the beach, and some good old-fashioned dune romping. The car, nicknamed “The Grunt Wagon”, certainly has been through some hell before making it’s trip out to the sand and it’s not treated with kid gloves at all. At one point a wheel breaks off of the car, with every lug hole torn through. While some may cringe at the sight, in the 1960s this was a twenty-something year old car that was probably on it’s last legs. Would you tear up seeing a 1995 Plymouth Breeze getting this same treatment? We doubt it, but unlike this particular sedan, the Breeze would’ve taken about five minutes’ worth of abuse before folding up.

Bangshift needs to confirm if this is true and post a video of trying.
