Just a Good Ol’ Boy: JC France Skates on Charges, Allowed to Race Again

JC France, the grandson of “Big” Bill France Sr., Grand-Am racer, and guy who was busted street racing while in possession of cocaine, has escaped the jaws of the legal system and has had his racing suspension lifted. Due to a technicality involving the jurisdictional authority of the officer who arrested him, France will face no criminal charges.

The officer who stopped France did so on a street not technically part of Daytona Beach country. France’s legal team put their heads together on this one and kept their client out of jail, unfortunately.

We can only imagine the phone calls and clandestine dealings that went on to keep ol’ JC out of the clink. The fact that the NASCAR owned Trans-Am series was so quick to give France his racing credentials back makes this whole thing stink to family cover-up heaven.

We found a kick ass column on the situation that really hits the nail on the head!
