ABANDONED 1955 Chevy Nomad Update – Replacing Super Expensive Nomad Glass! Please Don’t Break!!!

Well, the forgotten project Nomad is moving right along! It’s been painted and now some of that pain is going away in favor of some other pain, and some oil and who knows what else to make it look all old and barn find ish. Check it out.

It started out as less car than he thought it was, but that just means the progress on this thing is sort of fluid. And so is the plan for it, which is why the thing is now a gasser! Just look at it now. In this latest build video the thing is getting cheap paint. Yes, ultra cheap paint is going onto a real Nomad. WTF? Watch.

DD Speed Shop has no shortage of project cars and somehow this one was completely forgotten. I don’t know how that’s possible, but man I’m glad they have such cool ones to remember, like this 1955 Nomad. Check it out and see what’s coming next right here!

Nomads! Why is Nomad stuff so expensive!

This was supposed to be just another run of the mill glass install video. Well, when you add the in the cost of all this rare/unique glass, it sure ratchets up the intensity level. Overall, I was pretty impressed with how smoothly the glass install went. Especially since the car was so rough when I found it.

I was worried the body may have been twisted and the glass wouldn’t fit. The main issue was the back lift gate since it had been broken in 2 pieces. A little JB Weld and some added bolts where used to help tie the project together.

Lastly, I played with a couple of different tail light options. Old school hot rod or old school custom? Let me know in the comment section. A few victory revs, and it was time to shut it down till the new glass arrives.
