Barn Find 1958 Plymouth Project: Pushing Their Luck Doing More Work Even Though The Engine Is Ready To Drop In

It seemed like getting the engine and trans ready to swap would be the last of the work on this thing, but what good is a new engine and trans if the rear won’t live with it. Hmmm. This could be a problem. Will they make it in time to go to Moparty?

I’m not a Moparsman… I’m a GM guy. Chevrolet in particular. But I love the cars and trucks that came out in 1958. Seriously, 1958 had awesome cars and trucks from just about every manufacturer. That’s a long way of saying that even though I’m not a big Mopar guy, I totally dig this 1958 Plymouth barn find. I mean barn finds are awesome anyway, but just look at the nose on this bad boy! I’m not a big fins fan, but the back of this bad boy isn’t bad looking either.

Dylan found a really cool one here, but it could be A LOT of work to make it run right. Will it run at all? We’re all about to find out.

It’s been a long time coming, but the day has finally arrived! The engine is FINALLY ready to drop into our 1958 Plymouth. WHILE WE’RE HERE, why not go ahead and tear apart the entire rear end of the car? Today is going to be monumental towards the progress of our build. Think we can make it to Holley Moparty?
