Saved From The Crusher: This 1958 Pontiac Pathfinder Needs A New Lease On Life. Will It Run And Drive As Is Though?

Saved From The Crusher: This 1958 Pontiac Pathfinder Needs A New Lease On Life. Will It Run And Drive As Is Though?

Sometimes all the “It’s been abandoned for 15 years! Will it ever run again?!?!” videos drive me nuts because many of them will clearly run again with little work. It’s not like junkyard LS engines are the only engines you can bring back to life. But when Halfass Kustoms does a video about a car that has been sitting, there is real commitment to making it work even if there is more work to be done than you would normally expect. Plus, the pure joy and excitement in the videos for every little tiny victory are enough to inspire anyone to grab the nearest forgotten wreck to try and revive.

In this video a 1958 Pontiac Pathfinder is the victim, errr patient, that is in need of some love. It is super rough underneath, but the top of this car is pretty darn good and it’s one I look at and think it needs a floor and chassis swap. I think Brent might come to the same conclusion, but in the meantime, he wants to see if the stock 6 cylinder will start up and run so he can take it for an exciting, if slow, ride down the road. But first he’s got to get it to even turn over.

Watch.
