RacingJunk Find: A Killer 1962 Ford F-100 Gasser (look) Truck

We were all set to go digging on RacingJunk.com to find some kick ass nostalgia drag race car when all of a sudden our eyes fell on the ad for this totally awesome 1962 Ford F-100 gasser-style truck. The whole gasser truck thing harks back to a look that really never was, but damn we love it. This truck really pulls it off with the straight axle, nose high look, and old school, tunnel ram equipped small-block Chevy engine.

Making things even better is a four-speed manual trans and 9-inch differential. According to the seller, the truck is very streetable and not surprisingly draws a lot of attention wherever it goes. If we had it, it would go EVERYWHERE!

The shots of the frame and underside of the truck look awesome. There’s virtually no rust, and things look clean as a whistle. Hell, even the white painted headers look good. They have kick-outs that can be uncapped quickly and really up the noise level.

Sure, there may have been a couple of gasser trucks back in the day, but for the most part this look is the creation of modern rodders. Lots of times the previous statement leads to cringe inducing wreckage, but we love trucks done in this style. Plus it’s a unibody model!

For a turn key hot rod, the price of $14,900 ain’t crazy either!
