Made In The USA Video: A Look Behind The Scenes At Auto Meter

Made In The USA Video: A Look Behind The Scenes At Auto Meter

Of all the questions we get asked about different companies the one that seems to be most frequently brought up is, “Where is their stuff made?” Well, in the case of Auto Meter, if it has their logo and name on it the product was made in Sycamore, Illinois. This video shows both the town and the operation of actually building the best high performance instruments in the business….and they are the best high performance gauges in the business.  Auto Meter instruments are found in everything from street machines like our Buford T Justice project to the highest levels of racing and competition iron in the world. They’re built tough enough that those guys going 300 MPH can’t break them and they’re built light enough, with carbon fiber options, that you’d swear the box they shipped in was empty!

Often times the water is murky these days about where our parts and components are coming from, but in this case, the proof is in the video pudding. Auto Meter is in Illinois and they are committed to staying there. Judging by the looks of the place, we’d be committed to staying there, too. The town seems really nice!

That’s great they’re still in Illinois, but they’d save millions in taxes moving
next door to Indiana (I’m biased- I’m in SE Indy)!
