Chop Top How-To: Walden Speed Shop Shows How To Chop The Top On A 1932 Ford

Chopping a top is one of those things I’ve never done before, but have seen done several times and want to try. There is a lot to doing it right, and some cars and trucks are easier than others. Of course nothing is cooler than an old 1930’s coupe to chop. It’s timeless, it’s classic, and it doesn’t matter what “style” the build is there is always room for a chop. So whether you are into a very traditional style 1932 Ford, or a modern timeless design, or just want something all one color with lots of billet as if it just came out of 1995, a chopped top is appropriate. But doing one right isn’t just some one day job. It just isn’t’ Could it be done? Sure. Should it be done? I guess that depends on how nice you want it to turn out. Since the guys at Walden Speed Shop only know how to do things super nice, you can rest assured this video series will show the right ways to do it.

This is a long video series, but we’re going to start you off with just the first three videos and will bring you more over the next week or so. And someone please let us know that you watched these, were inspired, and couldn’t wait so you started cutting something up.

I have watched this series before and I am just amazed at the craftsmanship that these guys demonstrate. They have put a lot of thought into how to chop a top.
