Halfass Kustoms Shop Fire Part 4: Week 3, Cleaning Up Tools And Sheds And Doing Maintenance On Summer Vehicles

Here is Part 4 of the post-fire videos, and man it is unbelievable what kind of damage fire can do to a shop and cars and tools. You have to see this to understand, as they show you the aftermath and what is going on, just three weeks after the fire started.

If you missed it the other day, we posted a video from Brent and Esther’s home shop, Halfass Kustoms, after a fired ripped through the building destroying everything. They were on the road, on their way home from a show in Texas, and still hours away from their place in Canada when it happened. If you missed that first video, use the link below to check it out. Luckily nobody was hurt, including their dogs Pablo and Buddy, but the shop is a total loss. Unfortunately, when things like this happen, you can’t just go in and start cleaning up because the insurance company has to do their thing and fire department reports have to be finished, etc, etc. For someone who’s lost everything, waiting to be able to see if anything survived is sometimes just as bad as losing it in the first place.

Brent is a guy with an infectious laugh and a carefree attitude. He’s the one that constantly says that if he messes up on some metal shaping or fabrication, it’s no big deal because you can just cut it apart and weld it back together. It’s just metal. And he’s right. But this is going to be hard to laugh and smile through.

Video Description:

In this video, we do a little bit of everything from cleaning up tools to moving engines out of my garage, to summer maintenance on a couple of vehicles, and ending with a cruise in the field with one of my old trucks.
