There is something about building your own tools that just makes you feel good. Not every tool should be made mind you, but some are better when you make them yourself. I’ve got several tools that I’ve made, from wrenches with bends and additions that never came with them, to some stuff that looks like scraps welded together but that are for some reason stored in the Specialty Tools drawer in the tool box. And modified sockets? Forget about it, I’ve got tons. But what about big tools? Making your own hydraulic press or bender is not the norm, but certainly worth doing if you want something special or less expensive. Such is the case with this cool rotary bender.
Sure you can buy them at the discount stores and online, but they may or may not be up to the tasks you ask of them. And they certainly aren’t going to look this cool in your shop. But is it worth this much work? It certainly looks worth it. I mean just take a look at the result! This is one special tool that you can be proud of using each and every time you put it to work, knowing that you made it yourself. I dig it.
