More 1960 Cadillac Metal Work: Make It Kustom Hammer Forms, Welds, And Finishes More On The Caddy Project

The 1960 Cadillac Coupe De Ville is coming along slowly but surely. With a project this big, both figuratively and literally, there is going to be a lot of sheet metal work when rust repair and floor fabrication is involved. Ultimately this car is going to be on hydraulics with the rockers sitting on the ground when laid all the way out, and that means that besides restoring rusted sheet metal there is also plenty of filler and floor panel construction going on.

Before too long the new chassis, engine and trans, will be installed so that the floor can be measured and fabricated to fit everything perfectly, and we can’t wait to see it. This is going to be one special project for sure, and as a Cadillac guy I’m pretty excited to see just how far it comes and what it looks like when finished. There is one thing for sure, Karl is going to make it nice.

Video Description:

On this episode of Make It Kustom, I’m back on Kristina’s 1960 Cadillac Coupe De Ville working on the metal fabrication for the body drop. I’m stitching back together the bracing as well as fabricating fillers and connectors for the body. I’ll be hammer forming, spot welding and repairing rust.
