Sheet Metal Fab: Ultra Simple Bomber Seat Built With Only Basic Tools

I love Bomber Seats and there have been a bunch of them built online by all kinds of fabricators, including Ron Covell. He’s done two very cool bomber seat builds in the past few years and both were using some pretty extensive techniques or tools that a lot of folks just wouldn’t have in their garages. Because he got so much response to those videos with people asking for something they could do without fancy tools or complicated techniques, he came up with this one. This is the simplest bomber seat you can possibly make, and you literally need no metal working tools to make this thing. It’s rad and would be a great starting point for a cool bomber seat build as well.

In fact, that’s exactly what Ron is doing with it. This the the version for the folks who have a jig saw, some scrap mdf, 18 gauge sheet metal, and a Saturday. Imagine what else you could do to it with just a few other custom tricks added? We can’t wait to see those too. In the meantime, check out the build of this one and use the link below to get the plans so you can build your own at home. I want one.

This video shows you how you can make a very nice-looking Bomber Seat with a very simple tool set. Plans are available here: https://covell.biz/covell-bomber-seat…

Very nice work from Ron as always, but what is the attraction of bomber seats? My hemorrhoids cringe at the sight of them.
