Will This Cordless Die Grinder Beat Milwaukee’s M12? Ryobi & Harbor Freight Chief Hit The Dyno To Find Out If Batteries Can Beat Air.

Will This Cordless Die Grinder Beat Milwaukee’s M12? Ryobi & Harbor Freight Chief Hit The Dyno To Find Out If Batteries Can Beat Air.

With more and more tools becoming available in cordless, battery operated, versions it is truly amazing how much you can do with what used to require an air compressor and supply lines in your garage. There is not doubt that a good cordless impact can compete with an air-operated 1/2 inch impact in nearly all cases. But there are still some cordless tools that just don’t have the umph that a corded or air operated tool has. One of those is the die grinder. If you use on regularly for fabrication work, then you know that a good die grinder is invaluable. Now that doesn’t mean that all air die grinders are worth having, but we’ll assume you are used to having a fairly nice one. So can someone actually make a battery powered die grinder that can compete with air?

The tool companies say they can, but the closest so far is the Milwaukee M12 and it’s not quite there. So how about this new 18 volt Ryobi? It’s pretty big, which I think might be annoying to use, but we’ll see.

Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Video Description:

Can Ryobi’s PSBDG01B Die Grinder use its 18V to beat the Milwaukee M12 2485 from the same parent company? Will it’s claims of beating pneumatic this time actually pan out? Harbor Freight’s Chief line and their CH14ADG air 1/4″ die grinder aim to answer that.
