There are times when asking, “why?” just isn’t necessary. Consider this video one of those times. In it, you’ll see the massive classic Chevy truck of one Daniel Mundy vaulting to incredible heights and distances at some sort of four wheel drive event. It doesn’t seem that anyone was measuring for distance and height, but we’re thinking that the only thing that would have beaten the, “Air Mundy” truck that day would have been a Cessna or Beechcraft airplane!
The truck gets a full running start and makes a couple of leaps into a big watery pit. The first time it lands cockeyed and nearly rolls into the goup but the second time is a thing of true violent beauty as the truck launches straight and true, making a perfect four point landing into the water. It also stops in about 10 feet when it hits the water, so quickly in fact that the engine stalls out and it takes a minute for the boys to compose themselves and fire the truck again.
We don’t have the intestinal fortitude to (a) do this as the driver and (b) to willingly do it as the passenger, either! Mike Finnegan has had some nice jumps lately in the old Bronco and most recently the Dodge van on Roadkill but this one makes his efforts look like the weakest sauce ever. As far as we’re concerned, all other jumpers shall be measured by the “Air Mundy” stick.
This is truly wild….and we implore you not to ask why. Just enjoy it for what it is…whatever it is.
Press play and take flight!
no helmets, no roll bar, and no scuba gear. Natural selection in progress.
I don’t care if they seperate themselves from the gene pool as long as they don’t take classic tin with them. 67-72 cabs are not that tough when turned turtle!
Your right there not that tuff but with a good roll cage I’ll be just fine
Would of had my helmet on..Got a roll cage but no scuba gear lol
Let FREEDOM ring!!!!
The kids are hungry but who cares! There is plenty of beer in the fridge and daddy has himself a monster mud truck. Okay sort of kidding…
I’m not sure if he’s got an excess of balls or a lack of functioning brain cells, but that dude would be awesome to party with!
Just having a good time man!!
