Ever Wonder How Anodizing Works? Watch This To Learn How To Do It At Home!

We aren’t kidding, this video shows you how to anodize your own parts at home and the thing is it doesn’t really require any crazy special equipment! I have to say, as a child of the 1970s, I find the Gold Anodized Moroso Valve Covers to be some of the most bitchin retro parts around. I remember running them on everything we owned, along with matching t-handle hold downs. I mean who doesn’t remember those bad boys? Of course I also remember deciding those weren’t cool anymore sometime in the 1990s and then using Easy-Off Oven Cleaner to strip them to bare aluminum. After that they required a clear coat or paint, but the clear never actually protected or looked quite right on raw aluminum. Fast forward to now, and we’re looking at how we can anodize our own parts at home!
