Headbanging And Carnage: Check Out “The Sound And Fury”, The Behind-The-Scenes Look At RJ Anderson’s XP1K3 Video!

RJ Anderson is an off-roading badass. We saw him romp at Red Bull Frozen Rush in a full-size truck, but his specialty is making Polaris RZRs do things that the company never, ever saw coming…and we mean that, because we highly doubt any engineering board ever thought of the day that RJ would teach the UTV how to fly over scrapped AMTRAK trains or land like a ton of bricks. Like other videos, such as B.J. Baldwin’s “Recoil” series and Ken Block’s “Gymkhana” series, there’s a lot of prep-work, practice and inevitably, carnage that occurs when things are off even by just a touch. A mile an hour up or down can make the difference between making the jump, overshooting the jump (bad) or clipping the lip of the landing ramp (really bad). Add in things like wall-riding the side of a train engine, high-speed drifting through a decrepit building filled with bricks and glass, and launching a RZR out of a window, and you’re bound to have something happen sooner or later. (If you’re quick, you can catch how RJ and the team rated the stunts, from “hard” to “retarded” for the big jump) Along with shots of what goes on to make a film like XP1K3 and the carnage is one of Ministry’s most memorable songs, “Jesus Built My Hot Rod”, this fast-paced look into RJ’s world makes us want to go drift something, anything in the dirt!
