QuarantinePiece Theater: The Entire 1971 Watkins Glen Can-Am Race Broadcast – Awesome Cars, Racing, and People!

It is Friday. It isn’t but in Quarantine-ville it is Friday afternoon. Let’s be honest with each other. You don’t want to be at the home office any more. Leaving isn’t an option because the last time you tried that the boss saw your fake plaster of paris replica head roll off the chair during a Zoom meetingand smash on the floor.

He called the ambulance and was then humiliated when the paramedics explained that you must have used a dummy to leave work early. You don’t want to do that again, so here’s option B. Lock the door to your office space, remove the unmarked bottle in the lower right drawer (yes, we know it is there), tip a little “work juice” into your coffee cup, kick your feet up and watch more than an hour of simply awesome video from the 1971 Can Am race held at the Watkins Glen race course.

Stirling Moss is a part of the broadcast team, the sound of the thundering V8 cars is perfect, and you will watch a field packed with the greatest names in road racing history. The list of drivers is awesome. Jackie Stewart, Denny Hulme, Mark Donohue, Bob Bondurant, Sam Posey, Vic Elford, Mario Andretti, David Hobbs, Alan DeCadanet, and a host of others. This is serious racing royalty on the track!

Here’s the WHOLE RACE from flag to flag in seven parts below. We watched the whole thing. So should you! (And we promise not to tell anyone about what is in your coffee cup!)
