Everything about this C6 Corvette Z06 is awesome: the stance, the 1,000 horsepower supercharged mill under the hood, the exhaust note that could wake the dead, the ability to run 181 in the half-mile, everything. Lots of time, work and dollars went into turning the already vicious Corvette into a high-speed track weapon…so when it came back from a run with flames licking from the wheel wells and out of the hood, the first gut instinct is to feel absolutely sick. Car fires are no joke…if the right thing catches on fire you’re left with a charcoal briquet with a license plate and a long, long talk with your insurance adjuster about what happened. Luckily the owner of the Corvette had an on-board fire extinguisher and was able to take care of the problem, and if BigKlieb34’s video is accurate time-wise, managed to get some more runs in after the slight toasting. It’s one bracket, one bottle and a few bucks, but when you have flames coming out of somewhere on your car, having a fire extinguisher in your car is indispensable and priceless.
