Insane Videos: Watch A Snowmobile Powered By A 750hp Nitro Burning Top Fuel Motorcycle Engine Haul Ass!

As crazy as the 3,000hp Frozen Assets snow dragster was last week, this conventional snowmobile powered by a slightly detuned top fuel motorcycle engine is even wackier. The sled (which we think was built in Canada) is called Rated R and was built by a guy named Chad Rebec for the best reason possible, which we assume was to own the most bat shit crazy traditional snowmobile ever created. In our eyes anyway, he sure did. There are videos of this machine dating back several years on YouTube and one in particular shows him (at a long distance) crashing while climbing a big hill or mountain side. Then there are others from less than a year ago, so it seems like he repaired it after the wreck.

We are not sure if Rebec toned the engine down by running a light load of nitro, less boost from the (totally freaking awesome) Roots blower bolted to the front of the engine, or by some other means, but no matter, when you hear it start and cackle away, you know that there’s a load of good stuff cursing through its veins. It is pretty amazing how he’s able to throttle it like a “normal” (albeit far more violent) snowmobile as he tears back and forth across this frozen lake. It must be one hell of a rush to open the throttle wide open while sitting atop this monster. Plus we keep defaulting back to the fact that it RUNS ON NITROMETHANE. OOGA BOOGA!The sound of the exhaust echoing through the woods was enough to give us lumber!

Do you know of a more insane snow running creation than this? If so email me – [email protected]

Thanks for the tip Sandy!

  1. Nytronorm

Built by chad rebec at CR Racing in Kelowna BC. I am unsure of who the owner is. From what iv heard it never ran for more than a few pulls due to busted crank snouts. You can see this happening in the one vid as it shreads the belt.

Sled is still around and is about to be reborn. The uphill crash did very little damage to it, it was caused by Chad letting off the throttle at an insane speed going uphill when he could no longer handle the nitro fumes (no respirator). It has broken parts in the past, but what doesn’t at this level? Definately built in Canada by CR Racing.
