I love crawling around the wrecking yard, like most car guys, but I have to say that going to the junkyard with Richard is always an extra treat. Especially the wrecking yard he’s going through here. The fact that the temperature here in Texas today never got much above 30 and he’s running around in short sleeves makes me want to strangle him. That and the fact that wrecking yards here in the Dallas area pretty much suck compared to those in California. But I digress. The point of this blog item is to share Richard’s latest video from the junkyard. Check out all the cool stuff he finds in this one! You name it, and they pretty much had it in the yard this week. Fords, Chevrolets, Mopars, you got it. Big blocks, small blocks, old stuff, and weird stuff. Watch, because you’ll be surprised at some of the stuff he finds in this yard.
With that said, Richard is also looking for a couple specific engines and you can help with sourcing them! First and foremost, Richard is looking for a Mopar. Not just any Mopar, but the famed 340 Dodge. This engine is not as commonly found as a 318 or 360, but necessary for some muscle car engine testing that Richard is planning.
