Morning Symphony: This Hayabusa-Powered Autobianchi A112 Is Making The Donuts At Maximum Volume!

Like a manic kitten with claws fully extended in the middle of the “witching hour” every cat experiences, this Autobianchi A112 is noisy, quick on it’s feet, has traction for days, and can absolutely shred it’s back tires in full disregard for any and every nay-sayer in view. This little pocket rocket is badass! It’s got an eighty-inch wheelbase, and what used to be a 40-ish horsepower front driver is now a rear-drive screamer packing the 1.3L four-cylinder from the Suzuki Hayabusa sport bike. We doubt that this little monster weighs in anywhere near the standard 1,400 pound curb weight that a standard A112 tipped the scales at, and we suspect that the engine isn’t in stock tune by a wide mile. That means that this is, effectively, a hyperactive little go-kart that we’re really digging. Watching the little Autobianchi tear around a special stage on San Marino in the hands of Rubens Ferrari is giving us bad thoughts of tiny little cars with the soundtrack of angry hornets with machine guns, leaving a trail of rubber stripes in it’s wake. Who knew that a mini-car could be so angry?
