The Heartland. It says it all doesn’t it? A single word that drives home the point. Well Goodguys Heartland Nationals in Des Moines Iowa certainly embody all that the Heartland implies. Held on the 4th of July weekend, this show packs them in for great cars, great competition, killer food, and fireworks. Des Moines is home to the Iowa State Fairgrounds, which are arguably to coolest fairgrounds in the country. Like it’s own city, the fairgrounds include restaurants, bars, and more like you would see anywhere on mainstreet USA. The cruising here is second to none for a Goodguys show, and their plenty of Autocross and Circle Track racing going on as well. This video captures what Goodguys Heartland Nationals are all about. Including plenty of pretty girls riding around in pickup trucks. Do other countries ride around in pickup trucks?

Probably not. They don’t have a heartland.
