Prepare yourself to fall in love with the car featured below. This 1966 Nova station wagon was apparently located in a barn and as best we can tell by the exterior, that sounds accurate. Leaving the outside untouched as well as the interior (note condition of the bench seat when the front door is opened for the car to be started) the dudes that built this thing slid an intercooled 3.8L turbo V6 from a 1987 Grand National into it with the 2004R transmission and we’re guessing a cut down 8.5-inch 10 bolt along with other assorted components to make the street killer you see here. The steel wheels with dog dish caps are awesome as is the worn out appearance of the exterior. Even the V6 exhaust note could be explained away to an unsuspecting victim as being the tones of a warmed up 250ci inline six engine.

This car has to be so much damned fun to cruise around in. Rolling up next to someone on the highway when the turbo is already spooled and ready for action, flattening the pedal, seeing the horrified look on their face as you speed off and then laughing to the point of oxygen starvation sounds like the formula for entertainment here. The car should get decent mileage when driven like a normal car, there’s plenty of room for kids, parts, parts of kids, whatever you want! The “needs paint” guys hate us saying stuff like this, but anyone who did anything to the exterior of this car (other than the literally paint it like a 1987 Grand National) would be doing in wrong in our eyes. The crustiness is part of the act!

I know one of the guys that built this. They also built a CTS-V LSA powered 56 Chevy, and a ratty gold Magnacharged 63 Impala drop top for Power Tour. Out of Iowa.
