More and more footage from the vintage “Car and Track” TV show seems to be finding its way onto the internet every week. This time we’re showing you road test footage from an episode where the guys too a 1971 AMX Javelien equipped with a 401cid motor and a three speed auto transmission. They proceed to thrash the hell out of it. 

The 401 was a pretty stout mill for 1971, which started the rapid decline of both the big numbers and big performance of muscle cars. The engine was rated it 330hp and well more than 400 lb/ft of torque.
