Watch the Ridetech ’33 Being Driven in Anger at the Texas Optima Face Off – Autocross, Speed Stop, and Road Course Action

Ridetech’s new ’33 coupe is hella cool for a multitude of reasons. From the fuel injected. 600hp Ford engine up front to the totally hard core and bad ass Ridetech suspension, the car is designed to slay the competition on the autocross, road courses, and any other multi-faceted automotive event it is entered into. The car is also setup to cruise and handle the city streets like a “normal” hot rod is. In baseball, people talk about so-called “five tool players” that can dominate in all facets of the game. This is a “five tool car” and it is all wrapped in an iconic package.

Bret Voelkel was at the tiller during the 2012 Optima Face Off in Texas recently and despite the car having only been completed for a scant few weeks before the event, it was super competitive and was able to rip off times in all three facets of the challenge that were top five or better. Who would have thought a hot rod could run right along side the likes of tuned modern super cars like ZL1 Camaros and ZR1 Corvettes, not to mentioned the fact that it wiped the floor with stuff like the Lamborghni that was in attendance.

Press play to watch Bret pound on the brandy new Ridetech ’33. This thing rules!
