Watch This Billet Hemi Headed Small Block Ford Make 800+ NA Horsepower On Pump Gas!

Ford fans, you may need a moment along after watching this video. You may experience an odd tingling in your leg, you may grab the woman next to you and plant one on her, you may actually weep openly, we just can’t say for sure. One thing fans of every make and brand will agree on is that this 427ci Ford small block that is topped with a set of billet aluminum hemispherical combustion chamber heads and a billet aluminum tunnel ram with a pair of Carb Shop modified Holley 650s on top is a mean bastard! In the video below you will hear it fire, watch it make a dyno pull to “only” 7,000 RPM and then review the computer data on said pull. This is an awesome little engine which makes 804hp and 671 lb/ft of torque at full zoot. The engine was built by Vrbancic Brothers in California and we only wish we knew what it was going in. The dude on the video giving the narration says that it is a pump gas engine, so maybe it is in a street car somewhere. We’re guessing it is in a drag car, but who knows.

Apparently Chet Herbert constructed the heads that are on the engine long before he died and while the heads have water in them they don’t seem like they’d live for street use. The engine sounds really gnarly and we’re in love with the fact that it made all the power at or below 7,000 RPM. Super high winding small blocks are cool for racing applications but not so much for the mean streets. If this thing is in a ragged edged street car we’d be dying to see it. Does anyone know anything about this mill? Is it in a racer? On the street? Sitting in the corner of someone’s shop? We’d guess that the engine is in California and all of you west coast guys are all chummy and know each other so pick up the phone and get us a line to the owner!

Imagine being at a car show with the hood down and someone asks what motor is in your car and you respond, “It is a 427.” They then come back with, “What heads are on it?” It would be fun to pull the hood open and watch grown men go into hot flashes or just drop to their knees out of respect when they laid eyes on this creation. 800hp on pump gas, naturally aspirated, under 7,000 RPM, out of 427ci. THESE ARE THE GOOD OLD DAYS!

Press play below to see this mean motor make major power on the pump!
