It is Wednesday and that means that your week is about to crest the hill and start rolling toward the weekend. We want to help hasten that transition, that’s why we have posted the following four videos below, each 15 minutes long and each 25% of the 1964 drag racing film, “The Weekend Warriors”. Footage comes from the 1964 NHRA Winternationals, the 1964 NHRA US Nationals, and the 1964 AHRA Winternationals among others. You’ll see Connie Kalitta face down and ass up under his dragster and all the big name heroes. More importantly, you’ll see the old school NHRA US Nationals tech inspection area that was an Indy shopping center that was converted into tech HQ for the event. There are chicks, hundreds of bad ass cars, and a 1960s perfect announcer who is right on the ball for the entire film.

back in the day when 200mph was almost Taboo, my dad took me to all the tracks of the mid west. i seen the Ramchargers win a Lot of races. i seen the Color Me Gone funny car beat the the Blue Max. i seen Bill Golden;s Little Red Wagon go 160mph on its rear wheels, those were the days of Drag Racing.. when you built it in a barn or a California Speed Shop, and took it out there and Run what you built Out across the country to Race.
