In the last couple of weeks, I’ve seen multiple videos where drones have been lost, several of which happened during the shooting of boat videos, and so it should be no surprise that Finnegan would have one to add to the collection. To be honest, it has made me nervous to get my own drone out! In this latest episode of Finnegan’s Garage, you’ll see the boys searching for their lost drone, finding it, and seeing if it can be fixed. How did they lose the drone? Well we’ll let Mike tell you the story, but the end result was a drone that they thought had taken a dive into the lake and was lost forever. But one wiley staff member believed otherwise, and ultimately it was recovered. But can it be saved?

A few weeks ago, during episode 163 of Finnegan’s Garage, I lost control of my DJI Mavic Mini 2 drone and lost it. I didn’t know whether I crashed it into my local lake or into the woods next to the water. After looking at the short clip of video that streamed to my iPhone 11 plus, before losing connection with the drone, I figured the drone crashed into the lake and was lost forever. However, after Chris Read took a closer at the footage, he was convinced the drone hit a tree branch and landed on the shore. Given this new hope, we decided to return to the lake and search for the drone a week after losing it.
