Don’t take the term “odd rods” as disrespectful. When I say “odd rods” I am speaking of body styles and looks that are outside of the norm. Listen, we have respect for anyone with an old car who wrenches on it, loves it, and feels like it is a big part of their lives. This gallery if filled with cars that people love. They may not be the cars that I love or that you love, but for the owners of the stuff in this gallery going mainstream was not part of their program and there are multiple reasons for this.

The first is that the owner is a creative person who has no issue going outside the lines of normalcy to have the car of their dreams, even if they are the only person on earth dreaming about it. The second thing is that the owner is probably or was probably broke when they bought it and this is the type of car that they could afford to own and modify. Both of those scenarios (I believe) can be applied to virtually every car in this collection of photos. From the sucker nose Packard/Studebaker to the patina covered Crosley, these cars are weird but strongly loved.
