Just yesterday I wrapped up a weekend of announcing the Goodguys autocross at the Goodguys Fall Get Together at the Almeda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, California. I hitched a flight west on Friday night at SEMA to get to the event for the start of the autocross on Saturday morning. Because Chad was at the Optima event in Las Vegas and Tim Strange, their other regular guy was competing at the same event, they called me to help out. I was more than happy because I enjoy calling autocross action and I had never been to the event, which I have heard people rave about before. After the conclusion of the autocross on Sunday, I decided to run around the grounds and blast photos of the cool stuff that I saw. This show had to have at least 1,000 cars at it when I got to shooting on Sunday afternoon. I have no idea what the peak numbers were but it was that busy when the entire event was wrapping up. The weather was spectacular and the cars were even better.

I have a ton of photos to share from this one so I am going to bust them up into chunks for your viewing pleasure. In this collection of images you will see all different kinds of hot rods and muscle cars as well as big rigs! That’s right, one of the buildings on the grounds was chock full of trucks including a line of exceptionally cool rigs that were either old, hot rodded, or just plain unique. I shot the stuff I thought BangShifters would like.

As you read this, I am on the way back home to the chilly east coast. There may be one more trip west for me before the year is “over” but that’s still up in the air. For now I will hang onto my warm memories of a fun weekend in California.
