(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) –\u00a0<\/strong>For a change of pace this time I decided to break up the muscle car pictures from this event into color groups instead of by manufacturer. \u00a0I will tell you straight up we didn\u2019t see any AMC, only a few Buick, and just a few more Oldsmobiles. \u00a0Not sure what is up with that, but we saw plenty of Mopars, GMs, and Fords to bring here for you. \u00a0I hadn\u2019t seen a Pontiac Espirit Firebird \u2018Sky bird\u2019 since those things were new and the one in here was a pretty nice example.<\/p>\n I\u2019m not aboard the \u2018swap an LS into everything\u2019 boat like so many are, but when it\u2019s done correctly in the right car I have to admit it. \u00a0I don\u2019t like plastic engine covers, but the way the LS is packaged in the GMPP Monte Carlo SS looks like it came that way. \u00a0The car has looks and I\u2019m sure the performance to back it up. \u00a0Also check out the original-owner 1970 Ford Torino Cobra Jet. \u00a0Anytime you can view one that went home from the dealer and never left is a great experience. \u00a0Might even make you weigh selling one of your rides to get something \u2018different\u2019. \u00a0There just aren\u2019t that many people that keep cars for 30-years +.<\/p>\n The blown, green Mustang is regularly-driven, makes big steam, and is a super-looking ride. \u00a0I\u2019m hoping to shoot a feature on this and the owner\u2019s daily-driven 50s F-100.<\/p>\n
