(Words and photos by Joe Grippo) – The 2015 FE Race and Reunion, while certainly drag racing oriented, also featured an all FE powered car show. The volunteer staff had a tough time selecting winners out of the wide range of cars and trucks shining over in the section off area of the Beaver Springs pits. Concours level restorations, original untouched survivors, wildly modified street machines and everything in between filed into Beaver Springs to show off their stuff. A few retired race cars like a one off original A/FX F100, a killer B/FX Comet and a few Thunderbolts sat alongside a great selection of Starliners, Mustangs, Fairlanes and the like.

In what has become a tradition at Beaver Springs, Beaver Bob brings all the show entrants to the starting line for a parade lap down the track. Bob does a quick interview with the owner and gets the crowd riled up while egging the driver to run it hard down the strip! Most participants in the show parade didn’t need much prodding, of course. The car show was another fantastic aspect of one of the best events on the calendar for Ford fans. It’s going down again on April 29th & 30th 2016 and Bangshift will be there. Look up FE Race & Reunion on facebook for details.
