(Photos by Johnny Gaudette) – The only thing wrong with the Goodguys East Coast Nationals is the fact that each year it is scheduled on top of a drag race I am supposed to attend, wherever that may be. Thankfully our own Johnny Gaudette does not have these scheduling problems and he was able to make it out to Springfield, Massachusetts and see what al the hype was about. He reported back that the show was great, people came from all over, and the variety of interesting and cool cars was nearly unparalleled to him.

Being that this is one of the biggest car shows in the entire New England region it make sense that the event would be held on one of the largest pieces of properties in the region. The Eastern States Exhibition fairgrounds outside of Springfield is where the event is put on and that’s good because it is the state’s largest permanent fairgrounds so there’s plenty of room for the people and the cars.

From the autocross to the indoor display buildings, this was a heck of a show and one that New Englanders continue to turn out for in droves. We’ll be back with more Gaudette photo goodness tomorrow!
