(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) –\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/em>As much as everyone loves a good burnout \u2013 wheelies seem to stick in our memories more. Perhaps it\u2019s\u00a0the power needed to actually get the nose up or the torque that can carry the tires down track some.\u00a0I\u2019m not sure, but I am certain I can recall more epic wheelies I\u2019ve seen than I can burnouts.<\/p>\n

Again we\u2019ve got door cars here representing from 8.50 index to Hot Rod classes with everyone vying for\u00a0a win. I saw a LOT of redlights in the right lane on Saturday during qualifying and I\u2019m betting the sun\u00a0playing peek-a-boo with the clouds might have been a factor in that.\u00a0Lots of wheels-up in here and thankfully no one got real out of shape on their runs.<\/p>\n
