(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – The show-n-shine area, the pits, and even the parking lot at events such as the HRR can present cars from all eras and all tastes. In here we’ve got classics in every shape and size. As a bonus we also threw in some pictures from the swap meet.

Some highlights:

The Kaiser Manhattan was a real looker and sounded healthy too. Not a real common nameplate.

Apparently chubby, green Chevy pickups are ‘in’. We’re kind of partial to Jace Jordan’s ‘PUSH TRK’ and the rain-drenched, hot-rodded six-powered versions best.

The slightly-patina’d wrecker on the rollback was begging someone to take it home.

The pale-yellow ‘57s were quite a pair and meticulously-clean.

The 2 sets of Auto Wheel Spyders would look great on almost any period build.

We were quite taken with the Ranchero push truck/car and its payload.

Lastly the two sleds in here are without a doubt some of the finest of the breed we’ve seen. Gorgeous.
