(Photos by Doug Garrison) – We’re back with more photo goodness from sunny Florida and the 2012 Daytona Turkey Run. Doug Garrison was there in his old Pontiac wagon and while taking in the show, he blasted hundreds of photos, which we’re sharing in various galleries. Today’s dispatch will deal with the coolest hot rods, customs, and cruisers Doug shot at the event.<\/p>\n

We’re suckers for fat fender equipped 1940s iron. Their shapes are great and by the 1950s designers had begun to tighten up the lines of cars and we started seeing things like the wonderful 1949 Ford and later the tri-five Chevy entries. There are plenty of pre-WWII hot rods in this mix as well. Deuce coupes are always popular, but you’ll see some stuff from other makers as well.<\/p>\n
