(Photos by Dom Damato\/DRD Photography) – Earlier this month, our man Dom Damato attended the 2013 version of the Vintage Torque Fest. This show is a celebration of the traditional end of the hot rodding world with lots of cool rides, art, and people in 1950s garb having a good time. The weather was tough stuff when Dom was there so he blasted a highlight reel of photos and shared them with us. The show has been going strong for years and has a devout following. This is a unique event in the fact that people often take their cars for a spin around the old dirt flat track at the venue. Normally that brings people back into the days of jalopy racing but this year it would have reminded them of vintage mud bogging as that’s about the consistency it had after all the rain.<\/p>\n

Dom reported that it was a cool event despite the weather and that he’d be back to Dubuque, Iowa in 2014 to see it again in more favorable weather! We’ve posted two links below. The first is to our highlight reel gallery and the second is to all of Dom’s great photos!<\/p>\n
