(Words and photos by Tommy Lee Byrd) – Bangshift was in full force at the Holley National Hot Rod Reunion this past weekend, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. With Brian on the microphone, Chad manning the live feed and Charles Wickam shooting still photos, it was pretty much a wall-to-wall Bangshift weekend. But wait, there’s more! Tommy Lee Byrd stayed under the radar, but gave us yet another awesome gallery of photos from one of the greatest nostalgia drag racing events of the year.

TLB covered the car show, swap meet and a bit of drag racing here and there, including a shot of a super rusty Model A coupe doing one of the wildest wheelstands of the weekend. Then, our personal favorites come from the cruise in at the Host Hotel on Friday night. Hundreds of people lined the streets, as cars did burnouts and other scandalous activities leaving the parking lot. It was a good time, and the Bowling Green police must’ve been looking the other way because it went on for hours!

Check out TLB’s gallery of photos and be sure to check out all of the other coverage from the National Hot Rod Reunion!
