Last weekend’s Optima Batteries Faceoff at Road America was one of the best Pro Touring events ever. With 90 percent of the cars in attendance being classic American muscle cars, along with some newer American Muscle and even an import or two, the field was fun to watch. Especially when a 45 year old car was kicking ass on a brand new one. Old is good boys and girls. Or at least it is once you put great parts on it and get some seat time. And speaking of seat time, some of the best were on hand driving at Road America this particular weekend.<\/p>\n
Drivers like Bret Voelkel, who won the whole deal by the way, Brian Finch, Mary Pozzi, Brad Granger, John Kundrat, Ryan Mathews, Danny Popp, Jeff Schwartz, Karl Dunn, and many many more were on hand tearing it up on three different courses. And lucky for us, Bob Chiluk and Greg Rourke were on hand shooting photos like mad men and have shared them all with us.<\/p>\n
